SULPHUR

Sulphur has an affinity for the skin, where it produces heat and burning, with itching; made worse by heat of bed. Inertia and relaxation of fiber; hence feebleness of tone characterizes its symptoms. Ebullitions of heat, dislike of water, dry and hard hair and skin, red orifices, sinking feeling at stomach about 11 am, and cat-nap sleep; always indicate Sulphur homeopathically.

Standing is the worst position for sulphur patients, it is always uncomfortable. Dirty, filthy people, prone to skin affections. Aversion to being washed. When carefully-selected remedies fail to act, especially in acute diseases, it frequently arouses the reactionary powers of the organism.

Complaints that relapse. General offensive character of discharge and exhalations. Very red lips and face, flushing easily. Often great use in beginning the treatment of chronic cases and in finishing acute ones.​

Block of sulphur

Mind.--Very forgetful. Difficult thinking. Delusions; thinks rags beautiful things-that he is immensely wealthy. Busy all the time. Childish peevishness in grown people. Irritable. Affections vitiated; very selfish, no regard for others. Religious melancholy. Averse to business; loafs-too lazy to arouse himself. Imagining giving wrong things to people, causing their death. Sulphur subjects are nearly always irritable, depressed, thin and weak, even with good appetite.

Guided Meditation for the Sulphur Constitutional Type

Before you begin this meditation, find a quiet and comfortable place where you won't be disturbed. Take a few moments to think about a problem or question you have regarding creativity or inspiration. Contemplate this issue deeply, and then ask yourself two questions:

1. What is the solution or insight I need to find in order to enhance my creativity and inspiration?

 

2. Am I open to receiving guidance and insights from within during this meditation?

Once you have these questions in mind, find a relaxing position, close your eyes, and take a deep breath. We will begin counting down from 20.

Lighting a match to begin the meditation

As you open your eyes in your meditation, imagine a match burning about a half an arm's length in front of you. The smell of sulfur or the scent of rotting eggs fills the air. The essence of sulfur is associated with heat, fire, passion, and inspiration.

 

Allow your attention to drift from the match to your surroundings. You find yourself standing in a dramatic landscape surrounded by active volcanoes. These volcanoes are erupting, spewing lava and smoke high into the air. You are standing near the top of one of these volcanoes, and a path leads you to the summit. You instinctively know that the answers to your questions lie at the top of this volcano.

Homeopathic Sulphur meditation, the ascent

Begin your ascent, but be cautious. The path is steep, and the volcano is active, ready to erupt at any moment. As you climb, think deeply about your life and the problems for which you seek answers. The heat and fire symbolize your inner passion and creativity.

Finally, you reach the summit. It's a magnificent sight, with smoke and flames surrounding you. You feel invigorated by the energy of this place. Focus your attention on the rising smoke. People often see images in clouds; you may find an image within the smoke that holds significance for you.

Listen attentively to the roaring fires and pay close attention. In the intensity of the moment, you will hear a word or a response. It might be a hiss that whispers, "Yes, yes, yes," or a roaring, "Nooooo." Trust the message you receive.

As you absorb this guidance, the volcano grows more intense and begins to erupt. Lava begins to flow, and it is a beautiful and powerful sight. You've come to this realm by observing a flame, and you can leave by observing a flame. In your pocket is a box of matches. Take the box out, light a match, and watch the flame.

As you watch the flame, you find yourself back in your room, grounded and centered. Take a moment to reflect on the insights and guidance you've received during this meditation.

 

When you're ready, open your eyes and carry these revelations with you as you move forward in your journey of creativity and inspiration.
